My memory is always from the broiler and it leaves the center of the bread ooey gooey (a bit of butter and don't cook it until it's hard). So delicious.Quirky Jessihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02137254995257596391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4657559583044363284.post-85606731990733157552010-02-09T11:11:34.865-08:002010-02-09T11:11:34.865-08:00I'm so happy to have found your blog thanks to...I'm so happy to have found your blog thanks to SITS. I kind of cheat and use the broiler method in the toaster, hehe. I toast it for just a bit so it doesn't end up soggy, then butter it, sprinkle it with the cinnamon and sugar mixture and stick it back in the toaster for a few minutes until the sugar starts to bubble. Kind of the best of both worlds :)Katie's Southern Kitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09514903068768255232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4657559583044363284.post-28440306339238519552010-02-09T05:49:34.701-08:002010-02-09T05:49:34.701-08:00I haven't had cinnamon toast in ages. We actually rarely have cinnamon toast at our house, but I know my kids would love it. I've used both methods and frankly I kinda like the broiler with one side still "fresh," but it also means heating up the whole oven for one or two pieces of toast, so I most often go with the toaster, butter and sprinkle method too.Mary | Deep South Dishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06030573009618096220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4657559583044363284.post-84932368977743560872010-02-08T21:24:50.723-08:002010-02-08T21:24:50.723-08:00the broiler leaves the underside of the bread...so...the broiler leaves the underside of the bread...soggy and still "bread" not toast. I toast the bread, butter and sprinkle it with cinnamon-sugar then put it back in the toaster. You have to stand there and watch it super carefully, but it does the same thing as the broiler haha.Coleens Recipeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13273119586207995489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4657559583044363284.post-65668435431738275002010-02-07T17:33:34.746-08:002010-02-07T17:33:34.746-08:00I'm all for the toaster!
