Congratulations again to Kara from Kara's Kitchen Creations for winning the Taste of Home Prize Winning Cookbook! As of right now Kara still doesn't know she has won because she's on a camping trip with her family. I've never eaten Focaccia Bread and was very excited to make it. Let me tell you one thing, this dough smells amazing! When something smells that good when it isn't even cooked you know it will be fantastic finished. This is a simple recipe that's sure to impress anyone. Kara admitted to having this and a salad for an easy dinner. I thought that was a great idea. Thanks Kara for the wonderful recipe :)

FOCACCIA BREAD
2 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp SAF instant yeast
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1 pinch black pepper
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 cup hot water
Topping:
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp Parmesan cheese
1-2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir in oil and water. Knead a few times in the bowl. Cover and let rise for 20 minutes. Pat dough 1/2" thick on a greased cookie sheet. Brush with olive oil. Sprinkle with cheeses. Bake at 425 for about 12 minutes or till lightly browned.
