Breaded Pork Chops

I don't fry things often, but I couldn't resist these pork chops. I found this recipe at Lynda's Recipe Box. It was her moms recipe, so I knew it had to be a winner. I normally have trouble with my breading falling off during cooking, but these turned out perfect! Thanks Lynda for the great recipe :) Everyone really enjoyed these pork chops (Makayla even ate some!). I would also like to tell you about a great site ran by a great girl. It's called Getting it Together. My friend Chrissy's a sweety. I've known her since elementary school. We've played together at recess, been on the same softball team, and had some great high school moments. She's moved away, but I'm fortunate to be able to talk to her over the Internet and enjoy her great recipes. Chrissy's a great mom, friend, wife and a wonderful and strong woman. She's lived my greatest fears with strength and unfaltering determination. Click on over to her site and check out her great recipes :)

BREADED PORK CHOPS
4 bone-in pork chops
1 cup fine crushed saltine crackers
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1 egg, beaten.

Heat oil over medium high heat. Place beaten egg in one dish and the crumbs combined with all seasonings in another. Dip chops in egg and coat well. Shake off excess egg and place into crumbs. Coat well and press into chops. Place into hot oil (if they brown to fast turn down the heat) Cook about 5 minutes (until golden brown) and turn to finish cooking.

Yum! I prefer pork chops either breaded of fried. These look delicious.
Thanks Heidi for trying my Mothers pork chops and for the shout out! I've never had trouble with the coating on these chops.

My husband never seems overly thrilled when I buy pork chops, but I bet he'd love them breaded and fried!

I meant to tell you...I'm finally planning to make your soft chocolate chip cookies today--I can't wait to try the pudding mix!

Rachel- Those cookies are great. Tell me what you think of them. We really enjoyed them!

Lynda- Thanks, I love your blog too. I have written down several of your recipes I can't wait to try. I think the crackers are the trick for keeping the breading on. Looking back I think my mom used the salines sometimes too.

Yum! I haven't had breaded pork chops in a while. I think I should make some and this recipe looks like the perfect one! I think I have everything I need except for the main ingredient. I'll have to run back to the store. I swear I have been to the store everyday this week so far!

Every time I think of pork chops I always remember the foods of the Philippines. There's a version of pork chops very similar to this. It reminds me of being back home.

Yummy!

I don't make pork chops very often, but these look SO good! I can't believe how perfect the breading turned out.
Something about breaded and fried pork chops...sometimes you just have to do it. Yours looks wonderful!
