I'm sure having a lot of kid foods this week! If you're looking for a gourmet meal, this isn't the place for you... but sometimes a good old hot dog just tastes good. I usually go months without cooking hot dogs, but this week I have used them twice. That's mainly because I got the good light hot dogs for $1.50! Brad doesn't even realize I'm feeding him a lighter version of the hot dogs because they taste just the same as the regular ones. I feel much better about eating them too! My kids love spaghetti so this recipe was a nice change from the regular spaghetti with red sauce. This meal's also very affordable coming in at only $3.26 for the entire dish! That's the price without the cup of cheese... it seems I totally forgot the cheese and just realized I forgot it while typing the recipe! Even with the cheese the dish comes in at only about $1.00 higher. We all really enjoyed this frugal dish. It was a nice change.

Happy Thursday!
I like and enjoy the kid recipes and am glad to see them. I have fun reading the "gourmet" meals and occasionally, depending on time and circumstance, we go all out to prepare an extra special, fancy meal.
In real life, though, we keep things pretty simple because our lives are so busy. So when I see an easy, delicious, affordable recipe, you can bet I'm VERY interested.
We've had hot dogs here, too, over the past couple of weeks. I know they're wicked bad for us with all the sodium, nitrates, and fat, but every now and again (several times a year) we just have to have one. A BBQ wouldn't be a BBQ without a hot dog!
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one having trouble conecting to other sites. The last 2 days have been frustrating! I'm surprised I actually was able to connect to your blog, Heidi. Hope it doesn't last too long.
