A few posts back I mentioned the lady at Wally-World who decided to share her favorite ways to cook ham steak. If you missed that one I will tell it again. About a month ago I was looking at all the ham steaks trying to find a good looking one for my apricot glazed ham steak. There was a lady rummaging through them too. She asked if she was in my way and I told her no, I didn't know exactly what I wanted. I was looking for a ham steak without an indecent sodium level. She picked one up and went on to tell me it wasn't to salty and shared this recipe, which she says her kids request when they're home from college. She also went on to tell me she likes the ham cut up and put it in a plain old box of Mac & Cheese. I would like to say THANK YOU nice Wal-mart lady for sharing this yummy recipe. I threw it in the marinade about an hour before Brad planned on grilling. It only took about 10 minutes to grill and it had an excellent and mild teriyaki flavoring. Very good and the ham steak was only $2.28!
WAL-MART WOMAN HAM STEAK
1 ham steak
1/4 cup pineapple juice
2 TBSP brown sugar
1 TBSP soy sauce
Combine juice, sugar and soy. Marinade ham in liquid at least 15 minutes. Grill until heated through. I threw a couple pineapple slices in and had Brad grill them too.
