Edible Tuna noodle casserole

I finally have an edible tuna noodle casserole recipe! YAY :) A while back Katie from Katie's Korner posted her step-mom's tuna noodle casserole recipe and it was a winner at my house. While it was baking Brad came into the house and asked what we were having for supper. I told him he didn't want to know. Well, I finally broke down and told him and you should have saw the look of repulse that came across his face! I apparently normally make a terrible tuna noodle casserole, but with this recipe I redeemed myself. The blue box really makes all the difference. You really should try this one out. If your family cringes at the thought of this dish, I think this recipe will chance their minds for sure! Thank you Katie :)Check Spelling

EDIBLE TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE
1 box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese (blue box)
1/2 cup chopped onion
2-5 oz. cans tuna, drained
1/2 cup milk
1 can cream of celery
French's Fried Onions

Cook macaroni and cheese according to the box. Add all the rest of the ingredients (excluding the french fried onions) to your macaroni cheese in an oven safe casserole dish. Mix well. Sprinkle dish with fried onions and bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

I'm not sure I could fool my husband into eating tuna! He can usually smell it from a mile away. Maybe I'll try it sometime when he's out of town.

I've never heard of it being made with mac n cheese. I recently made one that was delish with a butter cracker crumb on top... check it out on my blog if you like =) (I think it was the best one I've made, we all loved it!)

I often just add tuna to my box of Kraft Mac N Cheese, just to get more protein into my kids - I never thought about using it for an actual casserole though - good idea :o)

That looks good. I love tuna casserole buy my family dislikes it. I have a friend that everytime she is mad at her husband she serves tuna casserole. It is so funny sometimes he doesnt even know he is in trouble till he see's dinner on the table. Poor guy.

I haven't had tuna noodle casserole since I was living at home--my husband refuses to eat tuna! I love the idea of using Kraft mac and cheese...if nothing else, I'll make it for lunch for the kids and myself! They love tuna helper, so I'm thinking they'd be in heaven if I incorporated mac and cheese!

I am so glad your family enjoyed it! It's a favorite in our family even though Daniel won't touch it with a ten foot pole.
