Easy Peasy Chicken

If you're looking for an inexpensive, easy, kid (and adult) friendly dish, you happen to be in the right place! A while back Denise over at Keeper Worthy Recipes posted this chicken and stated it was her kids favorite meal... well I jotted down the recipe as fast as my little hand would allow. I'm always on the lookout for recipes my kids will actually eat. I have to admit I thought this sounded way to easy to be good, but I was wrong. Although it isn't the prettiest looking chicken, it's sure yummy! Everyone really enjoyed eating their chicken bones (that's what Sophie calls chicken legs). They're already asking me to make this one again. I would consider that a HUGE winner!

EASY PEASY CHICKEN
1 large package of chicken legs, thighs and wings
olive oil
salt
pepper
garlic powder

Preheat oven to 400. Place chicken legs in large bowl and drizzle with olive oil (enough to cover them all generously). Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Place on large baking sheet and bake for 1-1 1/2 hours, turning them to ensure crispiness on all sides.

We eat this every single week, but I just use the olive oil, salt, and pepper. My boys call it "Salt and Pepper Chicken" and it's their favorite dinner!

Ok I am game my son loves chicken legs. Sometimes its the simple things that are a hit. I will have to pick a day that is not so hot. I cant bare to turn on the oven when it is 103. I am going to check out Denise's site. Thanks for sharing.

I love that the recipe calls for thighs and legs...I've been seeing them on sale for $.49/lb! It looks like such a simple recipe, which is always a "bonus"! I'm supposed to work all weekend at the hospital, so I'm thinking about leaving this recipe for my husband to make either Sat or Sun--thanks for the idea!
