Grilled steak sandwiches are the KING of Sandwichland! To bad I didn't get a very good picture. Beef tends to be a turkey to photograph. Ugly photo aside, we were hooked. My husband said they were pretty dang good...that's quite a compliment coming from him. He's the type to tell me when something is a dud, but not dish out compliments when he likes it. This ranks up in the favorites category. It was scrum-diddle-um-cious... that means good :) I got the recipe from Prudence Pennywise. If you've not visited her site you must. She has a ton of great stuff! I hope you enjoy these as much as we did :)
GRILLED STEAK SANDWICH
1 pound thin cut steak (we used thin sirloin steak)
salt and pepper
bell peppers, sliced
cheese (we used colby jack, but provolone would be great too)
Sprinkle peppers, onions and both sides of meat well with Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Grill until meat and veggies are desired doneness. Let meat rest for 5 minutes and then slice it into thin strips. Place meat, veggies and cheese on bun. I then put mine in the microwave for about 30 seconds to get the buns warm and cheese melted. Enjoy.
