Southwestern Salad Dressing

Last week I got stumped on my grocery list. At the time I was full and nothing sounded good. I asked everyone if they had any requests. Sophie asked for chicken bones (I will be making crunchy baked chicken legs this week) and Brad asked for a big salad. A nice big salad did sound good... especially with southwestern salad dressing! I first had this dressing as a dipping sauce to turkey club quesadillas. I fell in love with it. It's simple and combines two of my favorite things; barbecue sauce and ranch dressing. If you've never tried this, you're in for a treat. It's also very easy to adjust to your liking. I usually don't measure. I dump and taste. Tonight I mixed it 3/4 ranch dressing to 1/4 barbecue sauce, but sometimes I do half and half. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)

SOUTHWESTERN SALAD DRESSING
1/2 cup ranch dressing (I love Hidden Valley)
1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Mix and enjoy :)

My favorite bbq restaraunt has a dressing like this and it is fabulous. I'll have to try making it myself. Yum!

Yum! I think a salad would be good with this dressing, and some fajita chicken!

We really enjoy fixing a nice, hearty salad every once in a while to change things up a bit! Your dressing sounds great!
I WISH my hubs would ask for a salad. To him that's an appetizer! Meat & potatoes kinda guy, but me I can make a meal of a salad. This dressing sounds interesting! Never would have thought to combine the two but it sounds pretty good!

Those two really are good together. I usually mix ranch and salsa, but I'm trying this next time!
