Easy Iced Coffee

Hello, my name's Heidi and I'm a coffee-a-holic. I will admit to spending entirely to much for a cup at Starbucks, but have never been impressed with their cold coffee drinks. I've always been a hot coffee kind of girl... that is until today! While my zucchini bread was baking I got to spend a little time on the computer. I tooted on over to allrecipes and this was the recipe of the day. I was feeling a bit adventurous and decided since I had everything for this drink I would give it a shot. Well, I'm so glad I did! I added one mocha flavored Splenda coffee flavoring packet and wow-wee it was good. I've already drank two of these today and I plan to do the same tomorrow. I hope you enjoy this scrumptious drink as much as I have :)

EASY ICED COFFEE
2 tsp instant coffee granules
1 tsp sugar (I used Splenda)
3 TBSP warm water
6 fluid ounces cold milk (I used skim)
ice

In sealable jar, combine instant coffee, sugar and warm water. Cover the jar and shake until it is foamy. Pour into a glass full of ice. Fill the glass with milk. Adjust to taste if necessary.

Hi Heidi, I just saw a comment you posted on SITS and wanted to hop over to say hi. Your site is so inviting, beautiful and darn right delicious! I loved iced coffee - I will have to check out your recipe. Thanks for sharing it. I'll definitely be back to learn more recipes. Although, I'm trying to lose a few pounds....do you have some zero calorie, zero fat recipes? Oh wait, that would be dirt, right? ;-)

I usually prefer hot, black coffee, but I make exceptions for Starbucks! I'll have to give yours a try as it sounds really good!
