Hillbilly Teeth

I would like to introduce you to my son... Bubba. He sure is cute, but I hope he grows into his mouth :)
I giggle every time I see this picture! He is a cute little critter and we sometimes call him Bubba, but those teeth have got to go... and when I say go, I mean straight in your mouth. Those jumbo chompers are a yummy, healthy snack. What kid wouldn't have fun eating them? They're a mighty fine set if I do say so myself. Any hillbilly would be proud to have teeth so pearly white. My second grader (Miss Picky Pants) says every meal should be ended with an apple because they help clean your teeth when a toothbrush isn't available (she had a huge lesson on apples this fall followed by a field trip to a local orchard). And no, this recipe did NOT come from White Trash Cooking although I have another great one coming up soon. So next time your in the market for a quick, healthy, super-fun snack, head right back here with your apples, peanut butter (which I didn't consume) and marshmallows and join the fun. Enjoy :)

HILLBILLY TEETH
smooth peanut butter
1 red apple, cored and slice into eighths
miniature marshmallows

Spread peanut butter on one side of each apple slice (squeeze a little lemon juice over apple if not serving immediately). Place marshmallows on one apple slice using the peanut butter as glue. Lay another apple slice, peanut butter side down, on top.
