Instead of doing laundry and cleaning like a good wife I've been on here looking for yummy recipes. I think I may be addicted :) I found a really great website Cooking With The Preacher's Wife. I copied a whole stack of recipes I want to try. If they're anything like these tasty salsa burgers I know they'll be delicious. I LOVED these moist and cheesy burgers. I would even venture to say they're a bit on the taco-ish side... and you know how I love my taco tasting vittles! Enjoy :)
SALSA BURGERS
1 lb ground chuck
1/2 cup salsa
1/2 cup shredded cheddar
1/4 tsp. ground Cumin
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper
Sliced provolone cheese (I used colby/jack)
salsa & ranch dressing for topping
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chuck, 1/2 cup salsa, shredded cheddar, Cumin, salt and pepper. Mix with hands and form into 4 patties. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Spray it with cooking spray. Carefully lay the patties in the skillet and cook over med - low heat for several minutes on each side, until done. Combine equal parts salsa and ranch dressing. Place burger on bun and top with the salsa/ranch dressing and sliced cheese.
