Fantastic Salad

I'm not exaggerating when I tell you I have some of the BEST cooks in my family. I've shared recipes from my Grandma, Mom, Aunt Charlotte, Aunt Connie and cousin Bethany that were all tasty morsels... this salad from my Aunt Karen is no exception! I've never had a salad with this ingredient combination for the dressing and it's delightful! She brought it to Sunday dinner at my Grandma's and I had to run home and take a picture of my portion because I knew there would not be leftovers... and I was right! This would be perfect for a BBQ. You could easily add any veggie of our choice. Tomatoes would be a great addition! Enjoy :)

FANTASTIC SALAD
salad
1 head cauliflower cut into small pieces
1 head broccoli cut into small pieces
1 red onion cut into small pieces
1 green pepper thinly sliced
1 carrot peeled and sliced
1/2 cup cubed sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sliced green olives (Aunt Karen left these out)
dressing
1 cup Miracle Whip
1 cup Ranch dressing
dill seed (a few shakes)
Italian seasoning (a few shakes)
garlic powder (a few shakes)
sunflower seeds (about 1/4 cup)

Mix dressing ingredients together and taste. Adjust seasoning to your liking. Place cut up veggies in a bowl, pour dressing on top and mix well.

This sounds like a great bbq salad, adding this to my recipe list!
I make this salad too, but my recipe dosen't call for olives or cheese, but they sound like yummy additions Heidi! This is my husbands favorite salad salad, summer or winter.

Dill seed or [dried/fresh] dill weed? I've got both, but one's in my garden seed cache, the other's in the kitchen. ;)
