Sweet and Crunchy Popcorn

Isn't this colored popcorn the coolest? My kids loved it... in fact, they loved it so much I had to make a green batch the next day. Sophie took it for snack and a little Kindergarten girl asked for the recipe! It's that good :) The recipe's another great one from Taste of Home and was originally called Goblin's Orange Popcorn for Halloween. It's very versatile and can be tinted for any holiday or season. It's sweet, crunchy and down right good. Try it!!! Enjoy :)

SWEET AND CRUNCHY POPCORN
4 quarts popped popcorn (I used 2 bags of tender white microwave popcorn)
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1 cup sugar
6 TBSP light corn syrup
Dash salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
food coloring

Place popcorn in a very large bowl. In a small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in the sugar, corn syrup and salt. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 5 minutes longer, stirring occasionally.
Remove from the heat. Stir in vanilla and food coloring. Pour over popcorn; toss to coat. Transfer to two 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pans coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 250° for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight containers.
