Weekly Menu Plan

Yesterday it hit me. No, it wasn't a shoe (although I wouldn't put it past my loving family), it was a question. Why don't I post my weekly menu??? I love looking at other bloggers menus for ideas and after asking my facebook friends I discovered some of you would like to do the same with my menu. So, for those of you interested here it is:

MONDAY
Breakfast- Waffles
Lunch- Corn dogs, chips and dip, grapes, cookie
Supper- Oven baked pork chops and rice, salad, corn, bread & butter

TUESDAY
Breakfast- Waffles (I was at work and my mom fixed them not knowing I did yesterday!)
Lunch- Turkey sandwiches, chips, pickles, rice krispie treats
Supper- Spaghetti with marinara sauce, garlic bread, carrots & Ranch dressing

WEDNESDAY
Breakfast- Sausage, Eggs, & Toast
Lunch- Fish Sticks, french fries, vanilla wafers
Supper- Enchiladas, rice, tortilla chips & nacho cheese

THURSDAY
Breakfast- Pancakes
Lunch- Grilled cheese, chicken noodle soup, apple
Supper- Grilled steak, baked potatoes, broccoli & cauliflower, pudding

FRIDAY (Grocery Day!!!)

What do you think about me posting a weekly menu?

I always enjoy reading other people's menus, although I don't post my own anymore.

BTW...I had that same recipe card set when I was in my late teens/early 20s! Only mine was white. LOL!

I think it is great! This month I started doing both a monthly overview menu as well as a weekly menu that I mean to make more detailed.

I think it is great that you cook all 3 meals for your family! I am more of a one hit wonder most days;P I really need to try to do that more with breakfast though. My kids get so burnt out on cereal.

Megan- I have no choice but to cook every meal. My kids are to young to cook for themselves. We live in a really small town (186 people) and do not have a food place and no one will deliver here, so we only get to eat out occasionally... I don't know what I would do with myself if we had delivery!!!

I'd love to see a weekly menu from you! Your recipes are so great already -- I'd like to see how you plan ahead. I meal plan but not on my blog. I often do bulk cooking and prepping on a weekend (like make purees, chop onions to freeze, etc.) Pancakes and breakfast burritos are some of my favorites to make ahead and freeze since they only take a minute of reheating in the microwave! Keep up the great work Heidi and thanks for sharing your ideas with your readers.

Yay! Glad you decided to post a weekly menu. I would be lost if I didn't plan my meals out for the week.

Ha! I know what you mean! We don't do much dining out either, even though we do live in a bigger town. Don't get too excited, it is in North Dakota! LOL! We live out of town 4 miles in a small development on 2 acres and no one will deliver to me either:-(

Oh, I was GOING to say, I cook for all our meals, but Breakfast ends up being cereal and lunch ends up being leftovers or sandwiches most days:p

I love seeing what other families are eating! I'm impressed with your planned breakfasts and lunches too. My kids get cereal for breakfast and PB & J's most days for lunches.

I enjoy reading menu plans. I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into the planning. Sometimes I make a plan, sometimes I don't, which is why I haven't started posting mine on my blog.
