Pineapple & Ham Kabobs

I hope everyone had a great 4th weekend. Mine was BUSY! My little Sophie turned 7 Friday. I can't believe she's growing up so fast. Saturday her favorite person (my cousin Bethany) and I took her to see Eclipse and then she had her birthday party. I bought an edible image for her cake. Didn't it turn out cute? I think she had a great birthday :)
I also tried a quick and super yummy recipe. Ham and pineapple grilled on a stick... how could you go wrong? I love the fact this recipe uses precooked ham making it a snap to get from preparation, grill to the table. Enjoy :)

HAM & PINEAPPLE KABOBS
3 TBSP brown sugar
2 TBSP white vinegar
1 TBSP oil
1 tsp mustard
3/4 lb cubed ham (1 inch cubes)
1 can pineapple chunks

Mix brown sugar, vinegar, oil and mustard. Thread ham and pineapple on skewers (soak so they don't burn). Brush with sugar mixture and grill 6 - 8 minutes basting often.

One of my favorite combos; I've only recently been turned onto this combo for pizza. Love it! Your little beauty is so precious.

That sounds really good. Grilled ham and pineapples! I love making ham myself. I have collected quite a few ham recipes already. I think for this ham and pineapple kabobs, I'll be making a sweet and spicy ham to compliment the sweetness of the pineapple.
Love the cake, by the way! ;)
