This post's dedicated to my Aunt Cathy who lost her battle with breast cancer this week. She will be greatly missed.

CAKE BALLS
1 boxed cake mix, any flavor, baked according to package directions in 9 x 13 pan
1 can icing (16 oz), any flavor (I only used 3/4 of the can)
candy coating (about 3 oz)

Using a fork, crumble completely cooled cake. Add icing and mix well. The icing will completely blend into the cake. Form into balls using a melon baller (or your hands if you don't have one). Place balls on a cookie sheet and place in freezer for 15 minutes. Melt candy coating. Using a toothpick, dip balls into candy coating. Place on wax paper to set.

I am so sorry for your loss. I love these cake balls. I also have a aunt that is really struggling after an 11 1/2 year fight with cancer.

I am also so sorry for your loss. I lost my sister in law at the age of 39 to breast cancer a few years ago. She left behind two young children at her death and I still miss her all the time.

My grandmother also fought breast cancer, and has since passed on. I think there's a battle, for sure...but in no way did she lose. She showed courage and faith, and taught everyone around her so many lessons. She won her battle--not her life...and what a courageous battle and hero for us. I wish you well as you go through your loss. I'm sure your aunt was just as courageous and wonderful. Take care!!!
