Now, on to the food. Aren't these sandwiches funny?!? I had some buns I had given to me and needed to use up and saw this recipe in the October 2008 issue of Simple & Delicious. It's a very fun Halloween recipe. My kids thought it was great. We had Chase thinking he was eating real worms, and what little boy wouldn't be thrilled with the idea of that! Brad and I thought they were pretty tasty too. It's a great way to serve hot dogs differently. These only rang in at 48 cents per serving! I could have purchased cheaper hot dogs bringing the total down, but I like Oscar Mayer. The 48 cents isn't including the buns because I got them free. If you're looking for a fun and inexpensive meal, this one's for you!
SQUIRMY WORMY SANDWICHES
1 pkg. hot dogs
1 TBSP oil
1/2 cup ketchup
1 TBSP brown sugar
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp spicy mustard
dash liquid smoke
1 tsp Country Bob's All-Purpose sauce (optional- I added this to the original recipe)
Cut each dog in 8 pieces. Saute in oil until golden. Stir in the rest and heat through. Serve on buns.

Happy Monday!
Congrats on winning the contest! I love the mineral make-up, especially during the summertime.
Cole would dig this recipe! Thanks for sharing :)
This is a absolutely fun way to get kids to eat their food. Love the name squirmy wormy.
