Cherry Crisp

Click here to check out this recipe on my new, updated website!

Hello, my name's Heidi... remember me? I'm the one who's suppose to be keeping up with her posting, but hasn't done a very good job of it this week! I have a really good excuse, but I'm not telling you what it is. You have to wait because it's a SURPRISE!! You will like it. Well, I hope you will :) Enough about the surprise I'm not telling you about. I have a great cherry crisp recipe I think you will really enjoy. The topping's awesome! It's sweet and super crunchy (just like I think a crisp should be!). You don't have to use cherry pie filling. You could also use blueberry (yummy) or apple. It's great with a big ol' scoop of ice cream. Enjoy :) CHERRY CRISP 2 cans cherry pie filling (or flavor of choice) 1 cup quick-cooking oats 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 cup butter, melted Preheat oven to 350. Place the canned cherries in a 9x13 inch pan.Combine the oats, 1 cup flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and melted butter together. Crumble evenly over the cherries. Bake 45 minutes, or until cherries are bubbly and topping is golden and crunchy.

Yummy. Sounds great. I can't wait to try it. Although since I don't like cherry or blueberry, I'll be trying the apple. But I've been looking for a good apple crisp, and it looks like I just might have found it!

Thanks for sharing the great recipes. LOVED the burrito one. Made that last week. It went over VERY well.

I LOVE apple crisp, never thought to make cherry crisp. Now that is just wrong because I do like cherries. Will add this to my stash. The nice red color is so appealing and tempting!

The suspense is killing me about the surprise! You'll make me crazy with all the guessing.
Love any kind of fruit crisp; chery crisp is festive enough for the up coming holidays!
Can wait to hear your surprise.

Any kind of fruit crisp is my fave...after chocolate desserts. When I was pregnant I used to crave cherry crisp. I once sent my husband out at night to find one in our grocery freezer section! This looks so yummy!

I haven't eaten a crisp with cherries in ages. Darn! I should have read this before my grocery run!
I usually make apple crisp but this is very tempting. I love cherries and blueberries. Strawberry would be good too. The world of opportunity in this recipe.
