Iced Mocha Latte

I love coffee... normally hot, but on this occasion cold. I drink an obscene amount of coffee. That's the only way I can handle drinking our little towns disgusting water. Don't worry, I buy jugs of water for the kiddies. I'm surprised my teeth are still white. I keep thinking one day I'll wake up to see brown teeth in the mirror. Luckily that hasn't happened yet! This iced coffee drink is so yummy it's worth the brown teeth. I hope those home teeth whitener kits work! I found this recipe on the Splenda packet box. I always figure if a recipe makes it on a product box it must be good... in this case it's wonderful! It's almost like a rich, creamy ice cream with a light coffee and chocolate flavor in the background. I'm pretty much hooked. Enjoy... I sure did :)

Here's what was cooking 1 year ago today:

Mustard-Apricot Pork Chops

Frosted Brownies

These are both wonderful dishes! The pork's a quick weeknight meal hitting the table in 20 minutes and those brownies have the BEST frosting. I would recommend putting it on any of your favorite brownie recipes or even a chocolate cake or sugar cookies.

ICED MOCHA LATTE
⅔ cup SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
2 TBSP Dutch process cocoa
2 TBSP instant coffee granules
2 cups boiling water
2 cups fat free half-and-half, divided

Combine SPLENDA® Granulated Sweetener, cocoa, and coffee in a small bowl. Gradually whisk in boiling water, whisking until blended. Stir in 1 cup half and half. Pour mixture into ice cube trays. Freeze 8 hours (mine only took about 2 hours to freeze) .Pour remaining 1 cup half and half in blender. Gradually add frozen mocha cubes, blending until smooth. Serve immediately. Garnish with chocolate curls and whipped, if desired.

You had me at "latte"! :) I love coffee drinks (I am addicted to Starbucks). I am going to have to try this and I love that it is SF since I am trying to lose weight. I love your sight and will be back. I meal plan and am always looking for new ideas.

Stopping in from SITS! :)

I am a "coffee addict", as well :) I just love the iced coffee drinks from Starbucks, but can count on one hand, just how many times I've had them over the course of the years...having two small kids and trying to budget does not generally allow for me to splurge on a $4-$5 coffee drink! I'm a huge fan of cold coffee drinks that you can make at home and can only imagine how delicious this is!!! Can't wait to try it!!!

I'm a big fan of recipes on the backs of jars, boxes, etc. This one sounds like a keeper! Love my iced coffee in the hot weather. Will have to try this when it finally stops snowing!

I've been on this computer so long my morning coffee has changed to "iced coffee." Certainly not as gorgeous as yours for sure. I may have to whip it up right now. I must admit, that "sinful" frosted brownie staring at me isn't helping:) Thanks for sharing, enjoy:)
