Low Calorie Pick-Me-Up

This recipe's genius. It tastes like a cold, melty milkshake! Super-Yum-O-Lious. My kids are enamoured... to be honest, so am I! Can you believe I found the recipe in White Trash Cooking? I told you I would be posting another great one. It's healthy, but tastes so good you feel guilty while drinking it. Who knew a cookbook with the word trash in it could prove to have great recipes! Enjoy :)

LOW CALORIE PICK-ME-UP
1 glass skim milk
1 envelope sugar substitute (I used a few spoonfuls of Splenda)
1 tsp vanilla

Blend milk and sugar substitute in blender (I used my magic bullet) until foamy, then add vanilla.
*The author suggests trying this on hot days when your cardboard Good-Shepard fan makes you even hotter*

Great minds do think alike. I just made something very similar the other day, except I flavored the milk with caramel syrup ($4 for a large bottle at Sam's club). Yummy. Gave it to my kids for breakfast the other morning and they loved it!

I should really give this one a try! I had spoiled milk as a child and have not been able to drink it since. I wonder if I try to disguise the flavor of regular milk, if I could possibly get over my "milk-phobia"?!?

I love the idea of a low calorie milk-shake wanna be! I might even put some ice cubes in this and mix it in my blender!

Wow, what a memory for me! My mom made this all the time when I was growing up - we just called it Vanilla Milk, and used regular sugar. SO GOOD ~ ♥
