Snow Ice Cream for Blog-a-versary!!!

Snow ice cream seems WRONG WRONG WRONG on so many levels... but you know what? I LOVE it :) Forget that the snow's probably dirty and polluted. Try not to think the water the snow's made of could have evaporated from a lagoon. Live a little. Walk on the wild side. Be a rebel! Go out and get a heaping bowl of the white stuff (yellow is NOT lemon flavored) and mix up a batch of the best ice cream ever. I've eaten the stuff my entire life and have yet to kick the bucket from it. It's delish! Enjoy :)

***Happy 2 year Blog-a-versary to me! I will be sharing my families favorites this weekend. What has been your favorite recipe?***

SNOW ICE CREAM
snow
milk
sugar
vanilla

Get a big bowl (a mixing bowl) of nice clean snow (no grass or dirt). Stir in enough milk to make it have an ice cream consistency. Add a splash of vanilla and enough sugar to make it sweet. There are no measurements. You must taste and tell if the amount of sugar is right for you. I like mine sweet to make up for my general sourness :)

I'm with you Heidi! Snow ice cream is just one of those childish pleasures of mine that I'm happy to pass on to my own children. A little bit of snow isn't going to hurt them!

I always use a can of sweetened condensed milk in mine. It gives it a great ice creamy texture!

Very interesting. I've lived in New England all my life and never made Snow ice cream. I've been deprived!

We've made this in past years and the kids totally love it. Too bad we haven't gotten enough snow to try it again this year though. :(

I'd use this guilty pleasure as a celebration treat any day. At least something good would come out of all white stuff all over my yard, lol.

I have never had snow ice cream. In fact, I'd never even heard of it until a couple of weeks ago(on another blog)! Can you tell I grew up in Southern California? :) I'd like to try it sometime.

Happy Blog-a-versary! :)

Would you believe I've lived in Indiana my entire life and have NEVER heard of snow ice cream?!? My kids would have so much fun collecting snow outside and then turning it into one of their all-time favorite treats...ice cream! Can't wait to give this a try!
