Honey Bun Cake

My weekend started with a bang... and when I say bang, I mean it. Literally! I heard plenty of bangs as my car slid through the beautiful double decorative leaded glass doors with side lights going into my garage (the previous owners used the garage as a living room and the living room as a bedroom , hence the fancy doors instead of a garage door). We were planning on replacing the doors with a garage door come spring, but my husband sped those plans along! Luckily my car doesn't even have a scratch on it, but the house's looking pretty trashy with ply wood covering the hole. Man I hate the ice and snow :(

Bad start to the weekend aside, here's a delicious recipe sure to give you a bang when you take a bite. This cake smells SO good while baking it's irresistible. It's perfect. Moist. Delicious. Tender. Flavorful. PERFECT! Please make immediately. Enjoy :)

HONEY BUN CAKE
1 box yellow cake mix
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
3/4 cup oil

Swirl:
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
6 TBSP milk
1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 325. By hand blend the cake mix, eggs, sour cream, & oil. Lumps are ok. Set aside. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. Pour 1/2 of the cake batter in greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Add 1/2 swirl mixture. Top with rest of batter and then the rest of swirl mixture. Using a knife, make swirl patterns along the entire cake. Bake 45-50 minutes. During the last 10 minutes of baking make the glaze. Pour glaze immediately on HOT cake (this is important). Tilt to evenly coat cake. Cool. Devour.

Bummer about the house!! Good to hear that your car is okay, you are all okay and that you were planning to replace the door anyway.

This cake looks like a good treat to have after the weekend started out like that.

This sounds like a winner, Hubby will love this one.
I am going to make this. I love honey buns and this sounds delicious.

I hope that you get your house fixed. Nothing can stop you when you start sliding on ice! Glad no one was hurt.
