Grape BBQ Hot Dogs

Last Sunday was our family reunion. I always dread going, but enjoy myself when I'm there. We only had about 60 show up, but TONS of food. There's always dishes you look forward to eating... like Aunt Connie's Cheese Salad which was gone before everyone even got through line! These grape BBQ hot dogs are also a popular dish made surprising by my mom (she never looks at my site so I can say bad things about her cooking... really she isn't bad, she just always made the same thing over and over). This is inexpensive and fun. Kids and adults both enjoy these. Mom throws everything in the crock pot in the morning and they're ready to go by lunch time. With only 3 ingredients you can't go wrong! Mom isn't specific on her jelly to BBQ sauce ratio. She buys a regular size jelly and BBQ sauce and throws them in.

GRAPE BBQ HOT DOGS
2 packages hot dogs, sliced
1 jar grape jelly
1 bottle BBQ sauce

Mix all ingredients in a crock pot. Cook on low 4-6 hours.

That is such a perfect kid-friendly meal! What do you suggest serving it with? Rice? Cornbread? Any other ideas?

We use this same sauce for frozen meatballs and little smokies! It's delicious!

This really looks good! I would never think to do hotdogs in the crockpot, but it makes sense!

I've heard of the grape jelly/barbeque sauce combo before, but I've never had the courage to try it. If you say it's good, it must be!

My oldest has an aversion to anything with sauce of any type, but I'm guessing that my husband would devour a pan of these. They're just his kind of snack! What a great, simple recipe.

These look so good. Sometimes its the simplist ingredients that make the best dishes. I am learning that myself, moms do know best LOL.
